This mechanical device uses a crankshaft-driven piston to draw in air and compress it within a cylinder. The compressed air is then stored in a tank for use in powering pneumatic tools, machinery, or other equipment.

Piston compressors come in two main types:

•Single-Stage Compressors: Air is compressed in one stroke of the piston, best choice for applications requiring lower pressure (up to 120 PSI).
